Frequently asked questions
What is Topgrading AI?
An AI interview-scoring platform built on the licensed 50-year Topgrading® methodology: scorecard-based résumé evaluation, tailored interview questions, transcript scoring with verbatim evidence, and cross-document consistency checks. AI scores are decision support — your team always makes the final call.
How do credits work?
One credit ≈ one meaningful AI action; individual actions cost 0.5–4 credits depending on depth. Basic ($99/mo) includes 10 credits, Team ($499/mo) 100, Scale ($999/mo) 266. Credits expire after 90 days and are non-refundable — full details in the Billing Terms.
How does AI interview scoring work?
Upload the interview transcript; it's scored against each scorecard competency with verbatim quotes cited per rating, plus delta analysis flagging mismatches between the résumé, the interview, and the Career History Form.
What is a Job Scorecard?
A written definition of success for a role — outcomes and competencies — created before anyone interviews. It's the fixed bar every candidate is measured against. More on the methodology.
Does Topgrading AI record interviews?
No — it scores transcripts. Use your meeting platform's transcript or a recording tool, then upload. How it composes with interview recorders.
Does it integrate with my ATS?
Native integrations are on the roadmap, not live yet. Teams run it alongside their ATS today: résumés and transcripts in, scored verdicts out, decision recorded in the ATS. More on the ATS question.
